Stock market update: Shares climb as market begins to rebound

The Dow Jones Industrial Average has soared over the past few weeks as investors have seen the market’s gains.

It’s now above 13,000 for the first time since March 31.

A number of key indexes have climbed in the past couple of days.

Shares of energy companies ExxonMobil and Chevron have gained on Friday, while energy giant ConocoPhillips (COP.

N) surged on Saturday.

In the first nine months of the year, the Dow rose nearly 20%.

The Nasdaq has climbed more than 20% since March.

The S&P 500 index of small-cap stocks has gained more than 8% in the same time frame.
